New Big Whiskey’s on 280 set to open its doors Friday, Sept. 26: Deals + happy hour

Big Whiskey’s latest restaurant, located off Highway 280, will hold its grand opening weekend starting Friday, Sept. 26.
The national franchise has two existing locations in Alabama — one in Hoover and the other in Madison — and this will be its third. Soon after the 280 location’s opening, another will open in Alabaster.

The ribbon cutting took place on Tuesday, Sept. 23, supported by the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce.

What’s on the menu + Deals
The menu offers a wide range of American classics, so there is something for every member of the family.
Big Whiskey’s also touts extensive happy hour and special deal options. Here are their offerings as of Sept. 23, 2025:
- Happy Hour (Monday – Friday from 3-6PM): Half-price beer + wine, $7 select cocktails, $7 select appetizers
- Monday: $12 burger + beer
- Tuesday: Half-price wings (6 for $6.50 or 12 for $12), kids eat free 5-9PM
- Wednesday: Half-price fishbowls + $6 Old Fashioneds all day
- Thursday: $12 steak + fries
- Saturday: $20 bottomless mimosas + Bloody Marys (11AM – 2PM)
- Sunday: $22 bottomless mimosas + Bloody Marys (11AM-2PM)
In addition to some good food, enjoy their patio, selection of more than 120 whiskeys, huge TVs for game days and more.
They also have a room available for rent. It seats 36 at six tables and has four TVs. This would be perfect for hosting watch parties for this year’s football season! Learn more about reserving it on their website.
