The Craft Room
(The Craft Room)

Between The Little Red Print Shop, The Chasm Co. and more, I love seeing all the craft pop-ups around Birmingham.

Now, we can add The Craft Room to our list of creative businesses in Bham! A brand-new “reuse cafe” is coming to West Homewood this weekend. Keep reading for what we know about the shop and when you can visit.

The Craft Room

At The Craft Room, you can:

  • Shop for preloved arts and crafts supplies
  • Learn a new skill in a hands-on workshop
  • Create during drop-in craft hours (and grab a coffee!)
  • Donate your own art supplies

If you opt to order some coffee, stay for a few hours and create your own masterpiece, the drop-in crafting hours offer multiple projects to choose from. You can expect:

  • Quick bites and creative starters:
    • Coloring pages, yarn, etc.
  • Studio Entrees:
    • Collage from cardboard + scrap paper
    • Tapestry with scrap yarn, ribbon + fabric strips
    • Canvas of your choice + paint pallette
  • Story-teller’s table: $10/hour to rent a table

It sounds like a creative person’s dream! I can’t wait to check it out.

The Craft Room opens on Saturday, September 20

See The Craft Room for yourself at its grand opening this Saturday, September 20. The team will have coffee and treats for you, plus a free craft do lead you through, and that you get to take home.

See you there!
