New pilates studio coming to The Summit this fall

Solidcore, an Arlington, Virginia-based Pilates chain, is opening its first Alabama studio at The Summit. The brand is known for its signature 50-minute classes that deliver a high-intensity, low-impact workout on resistance-based reformers.

Fans say it’s one of the toughest Pilates workouts around—yet accessible to all fitness levels.

A pilates studio on the rise

The new Birmingham studio will open this fall at 333 Summit Blvd., according to Solidcore’s website.

This opening is part of Solidcore’s nationwide expansion. In addition to Birmingham, the company is launching new locations A Pilates studio with locations in 25 states is bringing its first to Alabama.

Solidcore joins a lineup of recent additions at The Summit. In the past year, 3 new stores have joined The Summit:

  • Abercrombie
  • Alo
  • Boll & Branch

On top of that, longtime favorites like Kendra Scott and Lululemon have expanded their spaces to keep up with demand.

An exact opening date hasn’t been shared yet, but updates—including class schedules—will be posted on Solidcore’s website as the launch gets closer. I know I’m excited to take a Solidcore class!
