Magic City Flow hip-hop festival rescheduled to May 9, 2026

Magic City Flow Fest—the new Birmingham hip-hop festival featuring Kevin Gates, Flo Milli, Rick Ross and more—has officially been rescheduled to Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Magic City Flow Fest rescheduled
The organizers of Magic City Flow Fest announced the change to the new hip-hop festival on social media, stating:
“We’ve heard your feedback and want to make Magic City Flow the best experience possible for our community. To make that happen, we’re rescheduling to Saturday, May 9th. October is a busy month in Birmingham, and we understand the frustrating event conflicts.
We’ll also feature more local and regional artists! We’re now accepting submissions – email magiccityflow@gmail.com for consideration.
We understand this change may be inconvenient, and we truly appreciate your support. All current ticket holders will receive a FREE upgrade as our thanks for rolling with us. All tickets have been automatically transferred to the new date.”
Magic City Flow Fest
First announced in April, Magic City Flow Fest is a new music festival created by the team behind Furnace Fest and Iron Hills Country Music Festival. Billed as “The South’s Biggest Hip Hop Show,” Magic City Flow Fest will feature several nationally-recognized and upcoming hip-hop acts, including:
- Kevin Gates
- Flo Milli
- Young Nudy
- Rick Ross
- Waka Flocka Flame
- Ying Yang Twins
- Paul Wall
- Chophead
Furnace Fest and Iron Hills Country Music Festival dates unchanged
Although Magic City Flow Fest has been rescheduled, the dates for its sister festivals—Furnace Fest and Iron Hill Country Music Festival—remain unchanged.
- Held October 3-5 at Sloss Furnaces, Furnace Fest will feature 90 hardcore and metal bands, including headliners Jimmy Eat World, Dropkick Murphys and Knocked Loose.
- The next weekend (October 11-12), Iron Hills Country Music Festival will bring 20+ country music acts to The Magic City, including headliners Turnpike Troubadours and Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen.
