Birmingham food lovers, mark your calendars: this September, Kristen Farmer Hall—chef and owner of La Fête—will bring a French-inspired feast to Wilsonville’s Lovelight Farm, co-hosted by farmer Jennifer Askew.

The event is part of Outstanding in the Field, the longtime traveling farm-to-table dinner series. Here’s what you need to know, from ticket details to what to expect.

About Outstanding in the Field

Founded in 1999 by artist Jim Denevan, Outstanding in the Field began as a radical reimagining of the dining experience. Instead of bringing ingredients to a restaurant, the restaurant is brought to the farm for an al fresco dinner.

It’s been more than a decade since Outstanding in the Field stopped in Birmingham. Past visits featured celebrated chefs like James Lewis and Frank Stitt.

This time, Chef Hall and her La Fête team are bringing the heat with their signature style of refined flavors and French whimsy.
