A prominent historic building in one of Birmingham’s most popular districts hit the market this week. Located at 3211 2nd Ave S, The Theodore was recently renovated for use as a premier event venue but closed due to loss of business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Located just a few blocks away from Pepper Place, The Theodore was built in 1929 as a research laboratory warehouse for the Swann & Co. pharmaceutical research company. The building was renovated in the late 2010s as an event venue called The Theodore, complete with three large brick-lined warehouse bays, high ceilings and industrial accents perfect for weddings, corporate events, parties and more.

Unfortunately, The Theodore ran into financial trouble due to the COVID-19 pandemic and closed its doors in 2020.
