A new coffee spot is rolling into town. Dutch Bros—the popular drive-thru coffee chain famous for its custom drinks and energetic service—is officially developing its eighth Alabama location in the Birmingham suburb of Alabaster. Read on to learn more.
Dutch Bros opening 8th Alabama location in Alabaster
Founded in 1992, Dutch Bros has grown from a single pushcart to more than 1,000 locations employing 17,000+ people in over 20 U.S. states and territories. Known for its friendly, high-energy service, Dutch Bros serves up countless drink options, including:
- “Coffee Classics” like cold brews, Americanos and lattes.
- “Dutch Faves” like the Caramelizer and the Cocomo.
- Shakes, Smoothies, Teas and Seasonal Drinks
Dutch Bros opened its first Alabama location in 2023, and has since expanded to seven sites in the state, including:
- Huntsville (2280 Zierdt Rd, Huntsville, AL 35824)
- Huntsville (4314 University Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35816)
- Decatur (1805 Beltline Rd, Decatur, AL 35601)
- Owens Cross Roads (6565 US-431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763)
- Auburn (1105 S College St, Auburn, AL 36830)
- Prattville (1874 E Main St, Prattville, AL 36066)
- Florence (2990 Cloverdale Rd, Florence, AL 35633)
The coffee chain’s newest Alabama branch will be located at 566 1st Street N. in Alabaster, a prime half-acre outparcel near Baptist Health Shelby Hospital and retailers like Jimmy John’s, Taziki’s and Arby’s. The seller was represented by Casey Howard of Harbert Retail.
An opening date for the new Dutch Bros has not yet been announced.
