In a series of messages sent on X this weekend, Mike Rapole with the UFL ownership group told fans and civic leaders in Birmingham that 5000+ season ticket deposits are needed to keep the Birmingham Stallions from relocation.

A season ticket deposit/commitment is $50 and can be purchased on the Stallions website.

UFL challenges Birmingham

Last month, the UFL stated it is looking at all of its options when determining whether to move its teams. One of those options for Birmingham is to prove it wants to keep the Stallions.

Here is the challenge Rapole posted Friday evening on X:

“The Birmingham Stallions are one of the league’s most historic franchises, but they’ve seen a massive drop in attendance. For the United Football League, that is not sustainable. We’ll do our part with better marketing and a stronger local focus, but the future of the Stallions comes down to you. If you want the team, kindly show up.

Our goal next year is 15k fans per game.

Let’s get to 5k season ticket deposits this week and I’ll see you all for the 1st game of the year!!!!!

Stallions fans: Challenge accepted

The Save the Stallions group followed up Rapole’s message accepteing the challenge with the following post:

In addition to urging fans to purchase season tickets, Rapole also asked Stallions fans if they would prefer Protective Stadium or the Hoover Met as the Stallions home field.

What’s next

This looks like a make or break week for the survival of the 3-time champion Birmingham Stallions.

How will The Magic City respond? Will our community reach the 5000 season ticket commitment goal?

Stay tuned.
