Let’s pause for a little Birmingham history: In the mid-1950s, the first “office parks” were constructed across the U.S.

Driven by a desire to move businesses out of city centers—where land was more expensive—and into the suburbs, the first office park was built in Mountain Brook, Alabama and they began to spread far and wide. Decades later, many of these office parks have lost tenants or become vacant.

However, the return of businesses like Village Dermatology marks a revitalization and new chapter for the historically-recognized park.
