This TechTuesday’s theme is “Exploring the Tools of Modern Filmmaking,” a deep dive into how innovations in technology have altered the way we create and enjoy films.

This event promises a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting-edge gear that brings stories to life on screen: the cameras, lighting and tools that power modern film production.

Here’s what you need to know:

The intersection of 2 major Birmingham industries

Now in its fourth year, the TechTuesday x Sidewalk event has become a fan-favorite tradition, and for good reason. It brings together two of Birmingham’s most exciting and thriving industries: tech and film.

The event kicks off with lunch and networking—a great opportunity to mingle with fellow creatives and innovators from around Birmingham. Then, you’ll dive into an interactive experience exploring modern filmmaking tools, from pro-grade cameras to advanced lighting and gear.

You’ll see live demos of some of the same equipment used in professional film production—and even get to try it out for yourself. If you’re thinking about launching a creative project, exploring a new career path or just want to geek out, this is your chance to learn from the pros and play with the tools.
