What do 250 drones, free food and games that keep kiddos occupied all have in common?
Besides being the ingredients for a delightful day, they’re all things you can enjoy this weekend during the annual I Love Irondale city-wide festival.
Here’s everything to know about this fantastic—and, don’t forget, free!—event for you and your family to experience.
What to expect at I Love Irondale Day 2025

The City of Irondale wants to give back—and honor—its residents with a good, old-fashioned neighborhood block party.
Here’s the details:
- When: Friday, July 18-Saturday, July 19th (see below for the day-by-day scoop!)
- Where: Beacon Park + Irondale City Hall,
- Who can join: While the event is meant to celebrate residents, visitors and patrons of Irondale entrepreneurs are welcome to join the fun, too!
- Cost: Free (mostly)! While the activities are no-cost, you may have some out-of-pocket expense for food trucks’ fare if you arrive late. Members of the Irondale Young Entrepreneurs program will be selling their wares as well, so you can shop and support young business owners.
Insider tip: Hungry residents should arrive on time—on Saturday, the first 50 guests at each truck will enjoy free food!
But first: Let’s watch a free movie! “Mufasa” this Friday night

Start your celebration early by gathering your crew to watch a free screening of “Mufasa the Lion King.” The film isn’t the only free fun to be had: There’s also complimentary (while they last!) lemonade, popcorn, hotdogs, snow cones and more—and kids will love the free train rides and games. Here’s the breakdown:
- What: A free showing of Mufasa
- Where: Beacon Park in Irondale
- When: Friday, July 18 at 7PM | The movie begins at dark
- What to know: Bring your own chairs + blankets
Saturday, July 19: Farmers + Makers Market (and more!)

The City of Irondale has been putting their popular Farmers and Makers market on for a while now, but on Saturday July 19, it melds with a classic car showcase in honor of I Love Irondale day!
Head down to Irondale City Hall bright and early this Saturday morning for all of your favorite fresh produce vendors, handmade treasures and a look at classic cars (lucky enough to have one of your own? Bring it!).
Here’s where to go and what to know:
- What: Irondale Farmers + Makers Market Classic Car Cruise-In + Live Music
- Where: By the tracks at City Hall, 101 20th St S in Irondale
- When: Saturday, July 19 from 8-11AM

The main event: Saturday’s I Love Irondale party

Take a break to cool off after the car show, then head back out Saturday afternoon for more fun. The day kicks off around 4PM and lasts well into the evening (you won’t want to miss the drone show at the end…trust us!).
Here’s what’s happening when:
- Free + yummy food: There’s a wide variety, and the first 50 visitors to each food truck will get a free treat!
- Music: Enjoy line dancing + live tunes from The Official Clutch Band, The Emily Joseph Band + Emerald Empire Band.
- Kids can play: They’ll experience water slides, a bounce house, train rides + more!
