Remember last year’s special basketball game between the University of Alabama and Wake Forest called Bama in Boutwell?

Today, organizers announced a new format —  Ballin in Boutwell, presented by Nike and Hibbett — featuring both men’s and women’s games and showcasing four in-state programs, including Auburn, Alabama, Samford, and Alabama A&M.

The games are scheduled for the week of October 13th.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 80th anniversary of calling Birmingham home than growing this event and celebrating basketball in our city alongside Nike. We’re committed to investing in Birmingham and the loyal Nike and Hibbett customers.”

Jared Briskin, President Chief Executive Officer of Hibbett

In addition to the series of exhibition games, fans of the Auburn men’s basketball team will get a chance to see the Tigers take the court as a Nike school with new Nike jerseys and equipment.
