Uproot Brewing closing downtown taproom on July 6
Reading time: 2 minutes

After two years in the Magic City, Uproot Brewing is closing its physical space on 3rd Avenue S, according to a notice shared to the local brewery’s social media pages.
A new chapter for Uproot Brewing

In 2023, local brewer Nate Darnell opened Uproot Brewing in the former Ghost Train space at 2616 3rd Ave S. For Darnell—who cut his teeth as a brewer for Good People, Avondale and Ferus—opening Uproot was the next step in following his passion.
With Uproot Brewing, Darnell and his team were able to further experiment with new craft beer recipes and developed popular brews, such as their American IPA and Todo Mal Mexican-Style Lager.
Sadly, not everything good is meant to last. On Wednesday, July 2, Nate Darnell announced on social media that that Uproot Brewing would be closing its physical space effective Sunday, July 6.
Luckily, Uproot’s beers aren’t going anywhere. According to the post, Darnell plans to contract production of Uproot Brewing’s brews with another local brewery.
