  • Coach Steve Spurrier and the late coach Eddie Robinson
  • Coach Frank Beamer and the late coach Bobby Bowden

This year’s event will be held on Monday, Aug. 18 at 6PM at the Red Mountain Theatre.

Guests of honor are Nick and Terry Saban. The event is  co-hosted by Lauren Sisler and Rick Neuheisel.

Strong Auburn and Alabama connection

This year’s recipients have strong ties to the state of Alabama.

Coach Dye, who passed away in 2020, began his legendary coaching career with Coach Paul W. Bryant in 1965. In the 1980s, he led the Auburn Tigers to four SEC championships and became the fourth coach in conference history to win three consecutive league titles.

Birmingham native David Cutcliffe played for Coach Bryant at Alabama before he began his 44-year coaching career which included stints as an assistant coach at Tennessee and head coach at Ole Miss and Duke.
