The “Oklahoma!” Youth Edition showcases the incredible talent in the STARS program at Virginia Samford Theatre. The STARS program at VST is a youth-focused theatre education program designed to give children ages 7–18 the chance to learn and perform in a nurturing, professional environment.

Watch as these gifted young, performers bring the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical to life on stage.

Set in the early days of the Oklahoma Territory, the story centers on a love triangle highlighting the spirited tension between ranchers and farmers. This special youth edition captures the heart and humor of the original show in a way that’s fun, sweet and for all ages.

Directed by Reid Watson, this production promises heartfelt moments and standout performances.

See “BIG RIVER: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”

Winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, “Big River” is a powerful and entertaining adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic novel. Featuring music by country legend Roger Miller, the show takes audiences on a heartfelt journey down the Mississippi River alongside Huck Finn and Jim as they search for freedom and friendship.

Directed by Stacy Alley (Head of the University of Alabama’s Musical Theatre Program) and music directed by Carolyn Violi and music archivist/advisor Bobby Horton, this production brings Twain’s iconic story to life with soul, humor and authenticity.

“Big River” is a moving tale of adventure, identity and the fight for what’s right—wrapped in a score that blends country, bluegrass and Broadway.
