5 Birmingham-based companies in U.S. Top 20 healthcare general contractors

According to an annual survey conducted by the publication Modern Healthcare, Birmingham is home to five of the top 20 healthcare general contractors in the United States for 2024, with Brasfield & Gorrie topping the national list.

The ranking is based on dollar volume for completed healthcare construction projects.

Brasfield & Gorrie’s banner year

Brasfield & Gorrie landed at the top of the 2024 general contractor list after completing $2.7 billion in completed healthcare construction projects. The company finished the banner year building more than 5.9 million square feet of healthcare projects. – more than double the prior year.
