Pepper Place is adding three new tenants this summer and fall, including nationally renowned designers Kravet and Schumacher.

Dating back to 1988, Pepper Place is a popular destination on the south side of Birmingham full of locally-owned shops, outstanding restaurants—including a James Beard Award winner—and a popular weekly farmers market. Located along 2nd Avenue South in Lakeview, Pepper Place is an adaptive redevelopment of two former manufacturing buildings: the Dr. Pepper Building and the Martin Biscuit Co. Building.

According to a Sloss Real Estate news release, Pepper Place is adding three new businesses between June to October, including:

  • Kravet, a leading name in interior design and textiles, will open its showroom in the Martin Biscuit Building on June 23
  • Alchemy Spa & Wellness is nearing completion of its buildout and is expected to open in July.
  • Schumacher, an internationally celebrated design house, will launch its Pepper Place showroom in October, making a long-term commitment to the district and occupying the space currently held by Little Professor. Schumacher will be sharing the showroom with their sister company, Patterson Flynn

“Pepper Place has always been grounded in local vision and creativity, and that foundation remains at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to welcome national design leaders like Kravet and Schumacher. These brands recognize the strength and spirit of this district. Their presence elevates visibility and draws new attention to our incredible community of local businesses at Pepper Place.”
