Central Alabama Pride to be featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Earlier this year, Central Alabama Pride became the first recipient of the “Communities of Pride Award”, presented by The Advocate, the largest and oldest LGBTQ+ publication in the nation.
The honor caught the eye of The Kelly Clarkson Show, a national daytime talk show hosted by famed singer and American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
“We were invited to film a virtual appearance on Thursday, and they asked what the ‘Communities of Pride Award’ means for us at Central Alabama Pride and what it means to receive that national attention here in the Deep South. We got to share a bit about our upcoming Pride Parade and Pride Festival, which will take place in the next couple of weeks.”

“A lot of people have a hard time believe that Central Alabama Pride has been around for 47 years, but I hope that this national exposure will show viewers that there is a thriving LGBTQ+ community present and visible in the South.”
