Since Whammy Coffee opened in Parkside this March, the team (including husband-and-wife duo Mitch and Maddie McEver) have curated one of the coolest spots for community and coffee.
It’s no shock that others agree. In fact, our very own Whammy was featured in Daily Coffee News.

Roast Magazine is dedicated to the growth of the coffee industry and in Roast’s publication “Daily Coffee News,” Whammy Coffee was recognized as a “doozy” addition to Birmingham coffee scene.
The feature opens with:
“The Birmingham, Alabama, coffee scene gained a doozy this spring with the grand opening of Whammy Coffee‘s first brick-and-mortar cafe.
In the ground floor space of the Denham Building formerly occupied by Atlanta-based East Pole Coffee Co., Whammy Coffee has added its own flavors, brightening the formerly cool blue walls with fresh coats of cream and maroon paint, and adding new seating.”
