Inside Pop Up Bar Bham, a new concept opening soon in Birmingham

If you’ve walked along historic Morris Avenue lately, you may have noticed a new bar that seemingly sprang up overnight. The new addition is Pop Up Bar Bham, a national rotating-concept bar that introduces new themed cocktails, Instagram-worthy décor and fresh experiences each season.
Inside Birmingham’s new Pop Up Bar
Described as a “dynamic, immersive, pop-up bar that reinvents itself with rotating themes throughout the year,” Pop Up Bar is a national entertainment brand that creates pop-up beverage experiences across the Southeast. The Pop Up Bar team coordinates with small, locally-owned event spaces to create new themed bar experiences each season.
“We’re here to elevate the way Birmingham experiences a night out. Our goal is simple: come in, grab a drink, and let the experience take over.”
The team behind Pop Up Bar Bham
The brand’s local concept—Pop Up Bar Bham—is located at Canvas on Morris, an event venue near Wooden City on Morris Avenue.
Inside, the venue has been transformed into an immersive, tropical escape called The Jungle. Pop Up Bar Bham’s inaugural theme features lush décor, an electric atmosphere and wildly fun drinks like:
- The Tarzan, a traditional Lemondrop made with Tito’s Homemade Vodka or Don Julio, Triple Sec, Lemon juice and simple syrup.
- Tha Jungle, Tito’s Homemade Vodka, lemonade, soda + your choice of flower (Mango, Strawberry, Peace or Passion Fruit).
- Hennessy Margarita, a twist on a traditional margarita made with everyone’s favorite cognac—served on the rocks.
- Panther Mule, Tito’s Homemade Vodka, ginger beer and lemon juice.
In addition to drinks, Pop Up Bar Bham will offer a variety of coal-less hookahs.
