A new Indian street food fast-casual restaurant is coming to Birmingham.

Curry Up Now plans to open their first location in Alabama at the new 5th & 20th building at 2001 5th Avenue South near UAB Hospital. They will be occupying a 1,760-square-foot space alongside Tropical Smoothie, Café, Qdoba and Chase Bank.

About Curry Up Now

Founded as a food truck in 2009 by husband-and-wife duo, Akash and Rana Kapoor, Curry Up Now, the California-based eatery offers an innovative spin on traditional Indian cuisine. 

Menu items that include: 

  • Burritos and bowls
  • Indian Street Food
  • Thali Platters
  • Sexy Fries
  • Naughty Naan 
  • Deconstructed Samosa

The restaurant supports halal, keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets and uses locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Locally, Martin Smith with SRS Real Estate Partners represented the landlord, RGS Properties, in the leasing of space to Curry Up Now. Tammy Johnson with Commercial Realty Partners represented the tenant, Curry Up Now, in the transaction.
