Celebrity sightings at the 2025 Regions Tradition Pro-Am [PHOTOS]

Wednesday marked the official start of the 2025 Regions Tradition at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham.

It’s a week golf fans around the state look forward to every year but day one of the event brings out fans of other sports as local coaches, former players and other celebrities take the tee box for the annual Pro-Am.

Keep reading to see some of the biggest names we spotted at this year’s event.

Nick Saban + Kalen DeBoer highlight big UA group

Alabama fans were all over the golf course Wednesday, sporting crimson and holding Crimson Tide memorabilia in hopes of getting a signature from one of the university’s representatives.

To no surprise, former coach + current university advisor Nick Saban drew the biggest crowd when he got to the tee box just before 9AM.

But he wasn’t the only Tide representative on the course. Other Alabama ties included:

• Kalen DeBoer, football head coach
• Nate Oats, basketball head coach
• AJ McCarron, former quarterback
• Greg McElroy, former quarterback
• Kirby Smart, former defensive coordinator + current Georgia head coach

Big Al was also making the rounds, taking photos with fans + golfers throughout the day.

Charles Barkley, Bo Jackson rep the Tigers

The orange + blue were also scattered across Greystone as some of the biggest names in Auburn sports history were on the course Wednesday.

Charles Barkley was grouped with Nick Saban but before teeing off, he got into a little tussle with Big Al before the two hugged it out on the first tee box.

Other Auburn representatives included:

• Bo Jackson, former two-sport athlete
• Hugh Freeze, football head coach
• Tommy Tuberville, former football coach + US Senator

Other celebrities at the Regions Tradition

It was a busy morning in Birmingham with several big names outside of just Tuscaloosa + Auburn making their way to the golf course to participate in the event, helping raise money for Children’s of Alabama.

Other celebrities spotted Wednesday included:

• Trent Dilfer
• Riley Green
• Taylor Hicks
• Jamey Johnson
• Greg Sankey
• Katherine Webb-McCarron

Some of the professional golfers also took part in the event as a warm up for the big tournament still to come this weekend. That group included:

• Stewart Cink
• John Daly
• Ernie Els
• Tom Lehman
• Steve Stricker
• David Toms
