It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.
From a popular brunch spot now open in Vestavia Hills to an exciting chicken joint coming to Highway 280, here are four openings you need to know about.

1. Big Bad Breakfast | Vestavia Hills
Big Bad Breakfast (BBB), the acclaimed from-scratch breakfast restaurant, opens its newest location in Vestavia Hills today, May 13.
The construction and opening of BBB has been part of a major initiative in Vestavia Hills to revitalize the south end of Montgomery Highway. In 2022, the city purchased the former Days Inn property and demolished the hotel and bar.

2. Crazy Chicken | Gardendale
A new Mexican-style chicken restaurant has opened its doors in Gardendale. Owned by Milton Rivas, Crazy Chicken is a fusion of Mexican and traditional Southern cuisine, featuring dishes like home-cooked tamales and hearty seafood combinations.

3. Yoki Buffet | Bessemer
Opened on Mother’s Day weekend, Yoki Buffet has joined the Bessemer community. Located just off I-20 Exit 108, Yoki is a Szechuan, Hunan, Cantonese style and sushi hibachi grill with 80+ menu options.

4. Craft’s | Highway 280
Craft’s Chicken is expanding again with a new Birmingham location—this time on Highway 280. The new chicken joint will be located in the former Wendy’s at 2727 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35223 by the Hampton Inn, Finch Wines and Taziki’s.
The menu features Southern classics like fried chicken and more, such as quesadillas, wraps, bowls, salads and mac and cheese.
