Several Jefferson County restaurants—including The Essential, Green Acres in Ensley, Davenport’s Pizza Palace and 20 more—received 95 and above on their food service scores this past March.
Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100+ local establishments that handle and serve food.
