About East Village Arts of Birmingham

Located in East Lake on 1st Avenue North, East Village Arts of Birmingham is a non-profit artist collective founded by LaDonna Smith in 2019.
โMy dream for East Village Arts was inspired by the East Village neighborhood in Manhattan. When artists like Allen Ginsberg began moving to East Village in the mid-21st century, others began looking at the Village with renewed interest.
We hope that by encouraging and celebrating local artists, East Village Arts can help anchor the growth of Birminghamโs East Lake neighborhood.โ

Inside East Village Arts, youโll find a communal exhibition and performance space that hosts concert series, writing workshops, local artist showcases and much, much more.
