The votes are in on the second annual Untappd Community Awards, and the Magic City’s own Birmingham District Brewing Company is the most award-winning brewery in the state. Read on to learn about the brewery’s 12 award-winning beers and other Alabama breweries on the list.

The top-rated beers in Alabama, according to the Untappd Community

Last year, beer rating app Untappd launched the Untappd Community Awards—an awards contest recognizing more than 25K beers from nearly 7,500 breweries across the United States and 50 countries worldwide. Now, the Untappd Community Awards are back for a second year to honor the best beers from around the world, as voted on by Untappd users.

To qualify, beers had to receive a minimum of 50 ratings from unique Untappd users in 2024. In the United States, 3,444 breweries brewed at least one beer that won an Untapped Community Award, including 28 breweries in Alabama:
