Developed by Ted and Mary Hallmark in 1976, Hallmark Farm is an iconic 567-acre estate located roughly 30 minutes north of Birmingham in Warrior, AL. After the deaths of the owners, Hallmark Farms was purchased by the Hallmark Farm Cooperative—a joint effort between Jefferson County and the city of Warrior—in 2019.

Now, a new entity—the Agriculture Exhibition Center Corporation (AECC)—is buying the property to oversee the Alabama Farm Center, a state-of-the-art agriculture and event center located on the Hallmark Farm property.

Once complete the $158M Alabama Farm Center development will:

  • Create new jobs, encourage tourism and bolster the local economy.
  • Include an indoor livestock arena, a covered outdoor arena, multiple livestock barns, an exhibit hall and an education center.
  • Accommodate multiple uses, such as livestock and equestrian competitions, rodeos, family entertainment shows and concerts.

Now that the sale has been approved by the Jefferson County Commission, the deal is slated to close on Friday, March 21.
