About D-BAT

D-BAT has been around since the late 90s and has continued expanding since.
CEOs Cade and Kyle Griffis began traveling to different cities to give private baseball lessons and began to see a need for a facility that offered the same instruction. They opened their first location in Addison, Texas and began growing nationwide. Now the business has over 135 locations around the country, with 20 additional locations being built.
“When you have a place that’s indoors and allows youth and their families to come in and spend time together, it’s going to grow the sport. You can’t always control the climate outside but you can on the inside and so with these locations and your membership, you can always travel around and go to a local facility.”

Now, Gardendale has received its first exclusive baseball and softball training facility. This brand-new D-BAT opened last month and has exclusive perks that you won’t want to miss.
- 21,000 square feet
- 16 cages + 4 machine cages
- Cage rentals
- Rawlings pro shop
- Personal instructors + lessons
This is the 7th D-BAT to open in the state of Alabama and there’s a new one coming just around the corner. According to The Birmingham Business Journal a proposed D-Bat Academy to open in Shelby County, has received zoning approval for the site between Headmont Park and Storage Depot.
“The amount of locations are going to be 170 within a couple of months.
“We know that there is one coming up in Shelby County and it is separate ownership but we’re excited that we’re going to have something new. Then you’ve got the midtown location, Montgomery and in Mobile, so this allows people who are traveling across the the state to come to one of our facilities.
Although we are owned separately, we still work together, grow the game and provide a safe environment for our youth.”
