Coosa, Alabama Wildlife Center’s cherished ambassador owl, has passed away

Coosa the Barred Owl, a beloved ambassador animal at the Alabama Wildlife Center, has passed away at 24 years old.

The organization announced Coosa’s passing on social media this week:

Celebrating Coosa on March 30

AWC will celebrate the life of Coosa on March 30th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. They have also set up a special Coosa Memorial Fund that will be used to further AWC’s educational efforts and wildlife programs.
