For lab lovers: Bulldog Pharmacy Camp

Calling all future pharmacists: This camp gives high school sophomores, juniors and seniors a chance to learn all about a career in pharmacy.

For five days, you can engage in hands-on lab demonstrations, participate in unique service projects, gain essential patient assessment skills and tour Birmingham-area health care facilities and pharmacies.

The cost of the program covers your room, meals, snacks, supplies and all camp activities.

When: June 22-27

For sports fans: Samford Sports Biz MVP Boot Camp

As a Samford alumna, I can attest to the fact that the Center for Sports Analytics is top-tier. Graduates with this degree have gone to work for Birmingham Legion, the Atlanta Hawks, the Milwaukee Bucks and The PGA tour—just to name a few.

Your high schoolers can experience this impressive department for themselves.

In just one week, they’ll dive head-first into the playbooks of sports analytics, sports marketing, athlete representation and sports agency alongside nationwide industry experts (like former NFL agent Eugene Lee).

At the end of the week, students can showcase the real-world strategies they’ve learned in a Sports Case Cup Competition judged by sports executives.

For budding artists: Animate Worship and the Arts Camp

Discover your passion and elevate your talent at Samford’s Animate—the summer camp for worship and the arts.

Middle and high school students, alongside Samford faculty and student leaders, can engage in multiple styles of worship all week long.

By learning from talented friends and mentors from Samford’s Center for Worship and the Arts, students will come back home with a better understanding of how to use their gifts to serve the church.

When: June 23-27
Cost: $399-$550 (based on registration date)

For the public speaker: Samford Debate Camp

Last summer, Samford University’s debate program celebrated its most successful season ever, securing a national ranking of third.

Now, middle and high school students can immerse themselves in this championship-caliber experience at Samford Debate Camp.

Under the guidance of the Samford Debate Team, students from across Alabama participate in dynamic practice debates and compete at the Birmingham Area Debate League level.

When: July 1-5
Cost: $400 (includes a $50 deposit + limited financial aid available)
