Founded in 2022, Cha House is a unique local tea house experience offering a special way to engage with other members of the Birmingham community while enjoying a delectable cup of tea.

Since its founding, owner Cierra Lober has hosted Cha House popups at spaces like Gaia Florals. Now, Cha House is opening a permanent location inside locally-sourced grocery store Red Bird Produce.

“Cha House has always been about community & collaboration so it makes sense for us to share space with another local business.

We feel that it’s a great fit at Red Bird & that our visions are very aligned in shopping local, supporting artists & farmers & facilitating community experiences.”

Located in Avondale at 131 41st St S, Red Bird Produce was founded in 2023 by Casey Hobbs to be a consistent option where customers can find quality, local produce at an affordable price. Red Bird Produce features fresh produce from local farms like Southard Farms, Ivy & Rain, Ireland Farms and Mattie’s Garden.

“We’ve been following Cierra’s work with Cha House for a long time. We hosted her for a couple pop-ups and it was a great fit; Cha House not only complements our business, but is perfect for the overall feel and vibe of the Avondale community.”
