1. Moe’s Original BBQ | Lakeview

Popular late-night hang-out and barbecue joint Moe’s Original BBQ in Lakeview is back and better than ever.

After a seven-month hiatus brought on by a fire, the longtime Lakeview restaurant has officially reopened its doors as of Thursday, February 20.

2. Ocean Seafood & Fried Chicken | Midfield

This new spot on Bessemer Super Highway is serving fresh, made-to-order fried fish and chicken. Jan Chua, owner of Ocean Seafood & Chicken, describes the place as a seafood restaurant with a Southern touch.

Besides the seafood, we highly recommend the special “whole wings” and side orders that include cole slaw, hush puppies, fried okra, Mac & Cheese bites, cheese sticks and their classic chicken sandwich.

3. New Day Car Wash | Trussville

Get ready to have the cleanest car in town! New Day Car Wash opened a new location this past weekend. Nestled between Trussville and Chalkville, this new location offers convenient, fast service.

4. Chipotle | Valleydale Road

A new development plan is underway on 2641 Valleydale Road, and it’s anchored by everyone’s favorite fast-casual Mexican spot: Chipotle.

Nestled on the intersection of Valleydale and Caldwell Mill Road, the new Chipotle will sit adjacent to Starbucks and be surrounded by Walmart Neighborhood Market, Publix and other hot spots.

5. Bandit Patisserie | 1st Ave N

According to a recent Instagram post, Bandit Patisserie is moving from its current home near The Essential on 1st Ave N to a new storefront barely a quarter mile up the same block.

The new location is nestled between Armour House and Carrigan’s Public House at 2323 1st Avenue North.

6. Habaneros Mexican Grill | Hoover

Sad news for Hoover—popular, longtime Mexican restaurant Habaneros has closed for good.
