About the 2025 MS Leadership Challenge in Birmingham

As part of this year’s MS Leadership Challenge in Birmingham, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with top executives, sharpen your business skills, and expand your network.
You’ll also help the National MS Society in its mission to help those affected by MS and their families by taking part in important fundraising activities.
If you aren’t familiar, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease targeting the central nervous system, causing vision issues, muscle weakness, and coordination problems. There are nearly one million people in the US living with MS—more than 5,000 here in Alabama.
This year, the MS Leadership Challenge in Birmingham has a fundraising goal of $65,000. With your help, they can reach it.

BONUS: There’s no exact age, professional title requirements, or fees needed to join. The MS Society is looking for individuals with the passion, care and drive of impacting people each and every day. Plus, it’s free!

This year, there will be a number of exciting opportunities. Here’s a look at the agenda:
- 2025 MS Leadership Challenge Kickoff
- What: Meet fellow Leadership Challenge participants + hear featured speaker Dr. Khurram Bashir MD of UAB Medicine share all he’s doing to cure MS.
- When: Wednesday, Feb. 26 | 8-10AM
- Where: National MS Society Birmingham, 2200 Woodcrest Pl, Ste 230, Birmingham, AL 35209
- Networking Mixer hosted by Dread River Distillery + Bham Now
- What: Challenge members and a guest will enjoy a night of networking with fellow MS members and Leadership Challenge alums, free appetizers + more.
- When: Tuesday, March 11 | 6-8:30PM

- Service Project—Walk MS: Birmingham
- What: Leadership Challenge members will take part in running this special fundraising walk + see first-hand how they directly impact those living with MS.

- Graduation Ceremony
- What: Celebrate the graduates of the 2025 Leadership Challenge with friends + family.
