Crawdaddy’s food truck opening brick-and-mortar location in Pelham
Reading time: 2 minutes
After five years as a popular food truck in the Birmingham area, Crawdaddy’s will soon open a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Pelham.
The new storefront, located at 220 Cahaba Valley Road, will serve as both a fresh seafood market as well as a dine-in location with many of the seafood dishes offered at the Crawdaddy’s food trucks along with beer, wine and other beverages.
No opening date has been set but owner Derek Linton says he aims to have the new Crawdaddy’s storefront open sometime in February.
Fresh seafood market
On the market side, Linton says he aims for Crawdaddy’s to provide everything customers need to host their own crawfish boil.
We’ll be selling crawfish by the pound as well as our own custom seasoning blends. We’ll even have cooking equipment like pots and burners. We want to be a one-stop shop to host your own crawfish boil at home.”
Derek Linton, owner of Crawdaddy’s
In addition to crawfish, the Crawdaddy’s seafood market will offer a variety of other fresh seafood including:
- Shrimp
- Crab legs
- Lobster
- and other seasonal fresh seafood
Dine-in at Crawdaddy’s
Crawdaddy’s will offer a full menu of dishes that feature the same “street food” theme their popular food trucks have offered for years. Popular items include:
- Street tacos
- Quesadillas
- Poboys
- “The Crawdawg”, a cajun andouille sausage served in a hot dog bun
Linton encourages fans to follow the Crawdaddy’s Facebook page for updates on a potential opening date within the next month.
