Onelife Fitness expands across the U.S.
In October, 26North Partners, the investment company founded by Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, announced its acquisition of Onelife Fitness.
Under its new ownership, Onelife Fitness is planning an ambitious expansion—61 locations serving 430,000-plus members nationwide.
According to the BBJ, the company recently signed a lease to replace a JCPenney store in the Birmingham area, however the exact address cannot be disclosed by the company yet.
Currently, there are only nine remaining JCPenney stores in Alabama with only four located in the Greater Birmingham Area.
They are:
- The Promenade in Fultondale
- Riverchase Galleria in Hoover
- Tutwiler Farm in Trussville
- Colonial Promenade in Alabaster
What to expect
According to its website, Onelife Fitness gyms are large facilities that offer a myriad of amenities, such as:
- Studio classes + personal training
- World-class equipment
- Enhancements like whirlpools, saunas + hydro-massage
- On-site child care
- Basketball courts, swimming pools + racquetball
