A new upscale speakeasy, The Lodge, is coming to Birmingham’s Parkside District in 2025 that will feature duckpin bowling, live music, and a full service bar.

The Lodge will be part of Fairway Social, an entertainment venue featuring golf simulators as well as a full-service bar and restaurant, which is still currently under construction near Railroad Park.

Guests will access The Lodge through a hidden entrance inside Fairway Social that can only be found by finding and solving a coded message. Once inside, they’ll find warm dim lighting, leather and wood accents, and vintage memorabilia.

“We are eager to announce our new concept – The Lodge – which will be nestled inside Fairway Social at Urban Supply in Birmingham. This speakeasy promises an experience unlike any other and we cannot wait to bring this new chapter in nightlife experiences to the Birmingham community.”

Brian Harper, COO of Competitive Social Ventures.

Parkside District continuing to develop

The Lodge and Fairway Social are the latest in a series of developments near Railroad Park signaling a push for the area to become the next big entertainment district in Birmingham. Both are part of a larger development known as Urban Supply, which includes Good People Brewing and Tortuga’s Homemade Pizza and is located across the street from Regions Park.

“With the recent announcement of the impending sale of the Powell Avenue Steam Plant, the Parkside neighborhood is poised for a significant transformation over the next few years. Together, Urban Supply and the Powell Avenue Steam Plant will bookend Railroad Park, serving as a gathering place for Alabamians to enjoy what Downtown Birmingham has to offer.”

Hunter Renfroe, Principal of Orchestra Partners

The Lodge is set to open Spring/Summer of 2025.
