A lot vacant since 2016 in Vestavia Hills will be the new site of Ace Hardware store.

Earlier this week, The Retail Companies successfully assisted DALK Land LP in acquiring the 1.08-acre outparcel at 600 Old Town Road, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216

Adjacent to Chuck E. Cheese, the lot was the home to a restaurant called Ichiban, which was destroyed by a fire eight years ago.

“This new store will fill a much-needed gap in the local market, providing residents and businesses in the area with a trusted source for home improvement products and services. The site has held untapped potential since the Ichiban fire, and we’re excited to help turn it into something valuable for the community.”

Construction of the 10,000-square-foot Ace Hardware store is expected to begin soon.

The Retail Companies has been busy in October. In addition to Ace Hardware’s development, the real estate company brokered a deal to bring Pickr Birmingham, one of Alabama’s first indoor pickleball centers to the state.

“The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce is super excited to welcome The Picklr to our North 31 Business District and Ace Hardware to our South 31 Business District.”

Michelle V. Hawkins, President / CEO, Vestavia Hill Chamber of Commerce
