2. Unrivaled: Sewanee 1899 by Norman Jetmundsen

“Unrivaled: Sewanee 1899” is a gripping historical novel that explores the intense rivalry between two prestigious universities in the late 19th century. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Sewanee campus, the story follows a group of students as they navigate academic pressures, social dynamics and personal ambitions.

“Several years ago, I coproduced a documentary film about the most amazing season in college football history. The film was called Unrivaled and it is about the Sewanee football team of 1899 who traveled 2500 miles by train and played five games in six days.

The Tigers went on to be undefeated in a 12 game season. The film did well and because we had done so much research and uncovered such great archival material and photos, my co-author, Karin Fecteau, a talented graphic artist from Birmingham, and I decided to do a beautiful coffee table book.”

3. Glass Cabin by James Braziel and Tina Mozelle Braziel

Have you ever wondered what living in a glass cabin would be like? Authors James and Tina Braziel give you a collection of poems that describe what it’s like to live sustainably. The authors capture the unfiltered truth of living off the grid and finding inspiration in the little things.

“It’s a collection of poems that describes how my husband and I built our home by hand out of as many recycled materials as we could.

We call our place the glass cabin because three of our four walls are made of tempered glass that had once protected the stained glass windows of a church.

Our poems describe what it is like to live in our home as we built it, how we live without running water, and how, now that the cabin is mostly complete, we want to spend as much of our time outside.”

Tina Mozelle Braziel, author, Glass Cabin
