First-ever Foodie Fest
Week 1: Burgers + Bar Bites
When: September 30-October 6
Featured dishes
- The 5 O’Clock Burger @ Time to Go Cafè: made just the way Jimmy Buffett likes it—lettuce, tomato, Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes.
- The Battlehouse Burger @ The Royal Street Tavern: a chuck, short-rib and brisket patty topped with bacon melty cheese and a warm pretzel bun
The first week of culinary celebrations is all about burgers—it matches up with the long-standing “Mobtown Burger Week.”
Foodie Fest is expanding upon that, adding innovative bar bites like deep-fried pickled cauliflower to the lineup.
Plus, Saturday, October 5 marks the annual Dauphin Street Beer Festival—a truly can’t-miss celebration of coastal brews.
Week 2: Charc(uterie) Week
When: October 7-13
Featured dishes
- Admiral Cheese Plate @ Le Moyne’s Chophouse: your choice of three cheeses, brandied fruit compote, crispy bread + Admiral honey (from the on-site bee garden)
- Joe Cain Pizza @ Joe Cain Cafè: a parmesan-sauce base topped with chicken, bacon, mushrooms + spinach
If you can only pick one week to eat your way through Mobile—week two of Foodie Fest is where you want to be.
Not only are restaurants rolling out their most mouthwatering cheesy confections—but there are a few food-based events you’ll want to stop by, too:
- Grilled Cheese Meltdown: Help decide who makes the best grilled cheese in Mobtown, once and for all (well, until next year).
- Wine on the River: From locally aged to international imports, sip on delectable wines with a view of a sparkling Mobile River.
- Latin Fest: Mobile’s yearly celebration of Hispanic and Latin culture is always a delicious and entertaining time.
Week 3: Niche Eats
When: October 14-20
Featured dishes
- Whole Grilled Branzino @ The Trellis Room: comes drowned in a delightful lemon caper sauce atop a bed of creamy polenta and braised collard greens
- The Hemingway @ Las Floriditas: mojo pork, mashed yucca, black beans + avocado—served en tazon, “on the bowl”
If you consider yourself an adventurous eater, week three’s niche eats will be quite the treat. You can try a full caviar service at Le Moyne’s Chophouse or indulge in some pumpkin spice-flavored baked goods from Guncle’s Gluten-free.
Whatever you decide, make sure to stop by GreekFest for lunch. Mobilians wait all year for this fundraiser at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. The unforgettable Mediterranean dishes will have you planning a comeback trip for 2025.

Week 4: Brunch, BBQ + Bistros
When: October 21-27
Featured dishes
- Beef Brisket Sandwich @ Meat Boss: BBQ brisket on a bun—sometimes things are simple because they’re perfect, just the way they are.
- Mardi Gras Omelet @ The Breakfast Spot: Conecuh sausage, cheese + green bell pepper
Mobilians take brunch and barbecue very seriously. Since good things come in threes, they added bistros to the week four lineup for an extra layer of fun.
Plus you can hit up brunch first, BBQ for lunch and bistros for dinner—it’s the perfect little meal plan.
Week 5: Scary good seafood
When: October 28-November 3
Featured dishes
- Seafood Pasta @ Squid Ink – Eclectic Eats & Drinks: topped with Gulf-caught shrimp, calamari, mussels + a white wine sauce
- Oysters Rockefeller @ Wintzell’s Oyster House: shucked and topped with a creamy spinach sauce
The state’s only natural seaport is bound to have some Gulf-caught delicacies.
The final week of Foodie Fest is for seafood—from the debatably delicious raw oyster to hand-rolled specialty sushi, you’ll surely find a marine bite you enjoy.
