Although Children’s of Alabama is the best resource for ill children—it includes the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in the state, after all—their stay in the hospital can be physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting.

To help these children and their families have a sense of normalcy, Children’s of Alabama has teamed up with Panda Express to open the Panda Cares® Center of Hope.

Located inside Children’s of Alabama, the Panda Cares® Center of Hope includes three dedicated age-appropriate playrooms for children and their families. The playrooms include toys and games as well as specially curated programs that address each child’s well-being.

“This partnership will have a profound and lasting impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

We are so thankful to Panda Express for their support, and we’re looking forward to many years of partnering together to meet the emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical needs of our patients.”

The new playrooms were made possible by donations from Panda Express associates and guests.

“We are proud to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to bring the vision of the Panda Cares® Center of Hope to life and are humbled to be part of the healing journey for the families and kids at these hospitals.

Children are our future, and through this partnership and curriculum designed to give children the strength to thrive, we will bring smiles and hope to communities nationwide.”

According to a press release, Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network began their partnership in 2007.
