This year, the VST is welcoming plenty of fresh faces onstage and off—including women directors who will direct six of the theatre’s nine shows.

Additionally, rather than limiting the Community Series to three weeks in one month, this season will have Community Series productions all throughout the year.

Patrons can also expect more from the STARS program (Students Take a Role at the Samford), which was created to give young performers an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive arts environment.

“The Virginia Samford Theatre is a teaching theatre focused on providing affordable, high-quality theatre education and performance opportunities. This year, we’re thrilled to expand our STARS Studio with more masterclass-style learning opportunities, covering creative positions like costuming, lighting design, and original work.

These tuition-free workshops will also explore theatre history, methods, and performance growth. Join us for another unforgettable season with STARS at the Virginia Samford Theatre!”
