On the heels of Juneteenth, the BJCC has announced a diverse array of performances—from local stars to acts known around the world—hosted in Birmingham year-round.

1. Kings of Southern Soul Celebration (King George, Pokey Bear, Ronnie Bell, JWONN, MC Lightfoot)
Kick off your Fourth of July celebrations early with Southern Soul and Blues! King George—a young, talented singer/songwriter from South Carolina—will bring the vibes with smooth R&B tracks with an old-school flair. Special guests include:
- Pokey Bear, a Southern Blues singer
- Ronnie Bell, a Southern Soul and R&B artist
- J-Wonn, a Soul singer

2. The Queens of R&B (Xscape, SWV, Mýa, Total, 702)
Celebrate R&B’s iconic, powerful female voices at The Queens of R&B tour! This can’t-miss tour features two iconic bands of the ’90s: the Atlanta-based girl band Xscape and the New York City-based R&B trio SWV (Sisters With Voices), as well as special guests:
- Total, a R&B girl group
- Mýa, a singer, songwriter and performer
- 702, a 90’s girl group

3. State Wide Emergency Tour
Legacy Arena at the BJCC will soon host several of the Southeast’s rising rap stars during their State Wide Emergency Tour, including:
- Plies, a rapper from Fort Myers, Florida
- JT, one-half of the Miami-based rap duo City Girls
- Trina, a rapper from Miami known as “The Diamond Princess”
- Rob49, a New Orleans-based rising star in the rap scene
- NoCap, a rapper from Mobile, Alabama
- Webbie, a rapper and songwriter from Baton Rouge, Louisiana

4. Lalah Hathaway
On the heels of her seventh solo studio album, VANTABLACK, five-time Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Lalah Hathaway is bringing her iconic vocals and empowering tracks to the BJCC.

5. PJ Morton
Hailing from New Orleans, singer/songwriter and musician PJ Morton is heading to The Magic City on his Cape Town to Cairo tour.
In addition to his solo work, PJ Morton has collaborated with the likes of Stevie Wonder and Lil Wayne, and has been an official member and keyboardist for Maroon 5 since 2012.

6. Nicki Minaj
After releasing her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj embarked on a promotional world tour consisting of 80 shows across three continents—and Birmingham is on the list!

7. Maxwell
Later this year, three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Maxwell will take the stage at Legacy Arena after kicking off his 2024 Serenade Tour. Accompanied by special guests Jazmine Sullivan and October London, this is one show you won’t want to miss.

8. The Reunion Tour (Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond)
A 20-time Grammy Award winner, singer, producer, rapper and more, Kirk Franklin has been dubbed the “Reigning King of Urban Gospel.” Franklin will launch The Reunion Tour later this year with co-headliners and gospel peers Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, The Clark Sisters, Yolanda Adams and special guest Kierra Sheard-Kelly.

9. 85 South Live
Billed as “a podcast for people who don’t know what a podcast is,” the 85 South Show features a trio of Atlanta comedians: DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller and Chico Bean. Now, they’re taking their popular show on the road!

10. Martin Lawrence
Actor and comedian extraordinaire Martin Lawrence is taking his newest material on the road with his Y’all Know What It Is! tour.
Known for his iconic roles in the Bad Boys franchise, Big Momma’s House and his sitcom Martin, Martin Lawrence will be accompanied by Loni Love, Benji Brown and beloved local comedian Rickey Smiley!

11. Katt Williams
After performing at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC earlier this year during his Dark Matter tour, legendary stand-up comic Katt Williams is headed back to The Magic City with new material on his 2025 Heaven on Earth Tour.
