Mark your calendar for one of the top summer events, Birmingham—the TNT Fireworks Bassmaster Elite is June 27-30 on Smith Lake in Cullman.

Bassmaster gathers some of the world’s best anglers

The Bassmaster Elite Series began in 2006 and has become the highest level of professional bass fishing tournament.

This year’s competition at Smith Lake will bring together 100 of the world’s top anglers to compete for the prestigious championship trophy and a $100,000 first-place prize.

That’s a lot of dough… I mean, fish!

Spend the day at the Bassmaster Outdoors Expo

Wondering what to do while top bass anglers are on the water casting their lines for the winning catch?

This is when the event gets even more exciting.

While anglers are on the water on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, there will be loads of entertainment during the Bassmaster Outdoor Expo.

Here’s a look at just some of the fun to expect:

• DJ booth
• Live music
• Food trucks
• Free demo boat rides
• Shop for fireworks at the TNT Fireworks booth
• Vendors from top brands—Toyota, Power-Pole, Garmin, Yamaha + more

Anglers weigh their catches at 2PM each day of the event, so head to the scales to see who wins the tournament.

Here’s a breakdown of the weekend event schedule:

• Thursday, June 27-Friday, June 28
  • 6AM: All 100 anglers take off onto Smith Lake from Smith Lake Park
  • 2PM: Official weigh-in at Smith Lake Park

• Saturday, June 29—SEMIFINALS
  • 6AM: Top 50 anglers take off onto Smith Lake + Bassmaster Outdoors Expo opens 10AM
  • 2PM: Official weigh-in at Smith Lake Park

• Sunday, June 30—FINALS
  • 6AM: Top 10 anglers take off onto Smith Lake + Bassmaster Outdoors Expo opens 10AM
  • 2PM: Official weigh-in at Smith Lake Park
