What better way to treat yourself than to shop local? We spoke to three local businesses you need to check out.
Here’s everything you need to know.
1. Khoko’s
Samford student Khoi Hammonds has created the ultimate pop-up shop for those wanting local jewelry.
As a graphic design major, Khoi has a wide range of interests including marketing. She has been following her passion since 2022 with the opening of Khoko’s.
“I’ve been looking to progress in my craft by getting to know my audience, seeing what people like and overall seeing how I can fulfill needs.”

2. Pure Hearted
Next up is Anthony Lindsey, a recent college graduate and owner of Pure Hearted.

3. Peachy Keen Inks
Allie Corine has made a hard launch into the fashion business by creating her T-shirt and merchandise shop.
Starting off, Allie had no clue she would come to make some of the best tees in Birmingham. She majored in Zoology but soon enough she found her love of creating graphic designs.
“I want to create a community of female and LGBTQ+ empowerment so that when you see Birmingham, you see pride, you see love and you see the opportunity to be anything and everything.”
