Meet Matthew + Destin Foster, owners of Sculpt B’ham
The dynamic duo and owners of Sculpt Bham offer authentic, judgment-free fitness at their gym.
Matthew Foster began his journey with fitness shortly after serving in the Marine Corps and moving to Birmingham soon after. An 11-year endeavor led to the cultivation of both Sculpt B’ham and and HOMEFIT, an in-home personal training company.
Destin Foster, a Birmingham native, never envisioned owning a gym. Having graduated from UAB with a BA in biopsychology and human development, she developed a knack for nutrition and fitness.
Both Matthew and Destin both share a love of physical fitness and came together to introduce a new type of gym that would focus on the happiness of their members.
“I think people want to have the freedom of working out and being able to record themselves. Here you’re able to call a number on the phone and talk to one of the owner’s. You can’t get that anywhere else.
We’re also giving the community a safe place to work out. We don’t do drama and we do not play about our members’ safety.”

What this move means for members
With the upcoming changes, members will have a lot to look forward to. Sculpt B’ham will host exclusive events, tours and community activities for members and prospective members alike.
The property in Lakeview is set to offer showers, larger workout space and more access to this one-of-a-kind gym.
“We take our members’ opinions very seriously. We actually hold votes to see what kind of equipment or upgrades members want.
For our new location, we asked everyone what kind of equipment they would want to see. We are very personal about how we speak to our members and we work really hard to have that connection with them.”
