EVL owner Angie Burge described their concept in an interview with Bham Now.

“We’re not your typical rug shop. You’re not going to come in and flip through a rug stack.

This is truly a first-of-its-kind customer experience. We can develop something with you from start to finish or select one of our over 200 patterns. We don’t buy rugs. There’s a lot of people that do this online. No one has ever really taken it to a boutique setting before, so we’re very proud to do that.”

Appointments only, so they can give you the attention you deserve

Once EVL opens it will be on an appointment-only basis which you can easily reserve a time on their website.

They do it this way because designing a custom rug is a very special individualized experience.

“We want to make sure that we give you the attention you deserve. You don’t have to be a designer to work with us, but we do work with designers and have a trade program. We can make you anything—any size and any color of rug,” added Burge.

Want to see the whole process firsthand? Attend the English Village Lane “Sip and See” on March 15th from 10AM to 4PM at 2217 2nd Ave N, Birmingham 35203 location.
