Launched in 2015, Sloss Tech is an annual, two-day tech conference held in downtown Birmingham. Each year, attendees travel to The Magic City to network, learn from peers and hear from exciting keynote speakers. Past keynote speakers at Sloss Tech include:

  • Cameo co-founder Devon Townsend
  • Renowned entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk
  • Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian
  • Tech marketing executive Bozoma Saint John
  • And more

The conference is hosted by TechBirmingham, a tech-oriented community that aims to establish Birmingham as the most innovative and inclusive technology ecosystem in the South.

“Sloss Tech is an economic driver for the City of Birmingham, bringing attendees and speakers from around the country to experience our ecosystem – but more than that – it’s an incredible showcase of talent, innovation and startup support.”

Maria Underwood, Birmingham Bound President and current Chairwoman, TechBirmingham Board of Directors

In 2023, Sloss Tech returned after a multi-year hiatus caused by the Pandemic, with the City of Birmingham serving as an official community partner.

  • A full lineup of keynote speakers
  • Track panels
  • Networking spaces
  • Street-level activations
  • And more

Just like in 2023, the historic Lyric Theatre will serve as the conference hub for Sloss Tech. In addition, nearby locations such as Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema will host breakout sessions and satellite experiences.

A limited release of early bird tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Friday, March 1) and can be purchased on the Sloss Tech website. Ticket prices will increase on April 1, when 2024 speakers and schedules are announced.
