We love Birmingham. (Bham Now)

Food & Wine released a guide to their Favorite Places to Eat, Sleep and Explore in Birmingham and we are blushing! Here’s a look at the magazines picks.

Birmingham hotels

To get the full Birmingham experience, you have to spend a few days in town. This means booking a stay at one of the city’s fab hotels.

We’re sure you’ll agree with these Food & Wine picks and why they were chosen:

  • Grand Bohemian for its wide array of unique activities including cooking + wine blending classes.
  • Elyton Hotel with its Moon Shine rooftop bar + lounge offering sweeping city views.
  • Redmont Hotels because of its pet-friendly policy.

Eating in Birmingham

We know Birmingham’s food scene is as sizzling as Eugene’s Hot Chicken, but we can’t deny we do a little happy dance every time it’s mentioned.

What Bham food spots spark Food & Wine’s taste pallet?

They doted on Last Call Baking’s “unforgettable breakfast experience” giving love to the passionfruit morning buns and Japanese milk bread egg sandwiches.

Automatic Seafood also got snaps as a “mandatory” dinner stop because of the oysters and yeast rolls with honey butter.

Things to do in Birmingham

What will you do when you’re not oohing and ahhing over Bham’s gorg hotels and delicious eateries? Venturing out and about around town, of course.

Here’s where Food & Wine suggests you visit:

  • Pizitz Food Hall
  • Red Mountain State Park
  • Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema
  • The Market at Pepper Place

What about our awesome drink spots? Food & Wine made sure to include a nod to Birmingham’s hot brewery scene with mentions of Good People Brewing Company, Ferus Artisan Ales and more.

Food & Wine has stellar taste. We agree with all of their picks for where to eat, sleep and explore in Birmingham. Do you? Let us know on social @bhamnow.
