Stivers Ford has completed its much-anticipated move from downtown Birmingham to the Palisades Shopping Center.

The last day at the facility at 19th Street and 2nd Avenue—which has been home to a Ford dealership since the late 1930s—was Friday, February 9th.

Stivers Ford’s first fully operational day at its new Palisades location is Monday, February 12th.

The massive new facility remains in Birmingham and when they turn on the lights this week, it will become the largest Ford dealership in Alabama.

Once that Ford Pro Elite is completed, Stivers will have a total of 90 service bays at both locations.

The new and much larger dealership and service facility will create 80 new jobs and employ over 150 people.

What’s next Downtown?

Presently, there is no news to report about what’s next at the former Adamson Ford/Stivers Ford sites in downtown Birmingham. With its close proximity to Railroad Park, we look forward to some new and exciting development.

Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Birmingham is now home to the largest Ford dealership in the state and a newly revitalized Palisades Shopping Center.
