Hero Doughnuts in Homewood is on the move—but don’t fret, the new-and-improved location is only a half-mile down the street. Next week, Hero will reopen at its new home at 1726 28th Avenue South.

According to recent social media posts, the breakfast spot is closed from January 29 to February 5 while its staff move out of the former location on Oxmoor Road across from Homewood Central Park.

As the post’s caption reads, Hero will reopen next week—just in time to start serving Valentine’s doughnuts.

“Hero Homewood is on the move! But doughnut worry, we’re not going far! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be relocating to a new space in downtown Homewood. To ensure a smooth transition, our current Homewood location will be closed Monday, Jan 29 – Feb 5. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new home!”

The new Hero location on 28th Avenue South will neighbor an upcoming Italian restaurant and market, the Pihakis Restaurant Group’s latest project Luca Lagotto. According to its website, Luca Lagotto is scheduled to open sometime late February.
